Hi Superkids,
It’s the school holidays and we know you need some fun activities that keep your mind entertained during this time of rest. We have collected the best crafts from our archives to give you a cool combination of science reactions with a mix of arts and crafts.
Some eggy business

STEPS
- Place your raw egg in the container so that it doesn’t touch the sides of the container.
- Add vinegar. Remember to add enough of it to cover the egg. Notice that bubbles form on the egg.
- Cover the container; put it in the refrigerator; and let the egg lie in the vinegar for 24 hours.
- Use your spoon to scoop the egg out of the vinegar. Be careful – since the eggshell has been dissolving, the egg membrane may be the only thing holding the egg together.
- Carefully pour out the vinegar. Put the egg back in the container and cover it with fresh vinegar. Leave in the refrigerator for another 24-48 hours.
- Scoop the egg out again and rinse it carefully.
This eggciting reaction will blow your mind and add to your yolkified egg collection, just make sure you don’t lose your yolk in the process.
The best kind of horsing around
STEPS
- Draw the outline of a horse’s body ( without its legs) on a piece of cardboard.
- Cut out the outline and colour it.
- Clip two pegs to the belly of your horse and start your own horse farm!

Don’t deneigh yourself the pleasure of a handmade horse farm, its fun and super easy to make. Not to mention the endless hours of fun.
